The Bloggers Took Over

Well, we did it. Had a blast. Everybody that I know who watched the broadcast loved it. Those that weren’t able to watch live keep asking me, “How’d it go?” My answer is “I had an absolute blast. We talked baseball, we joked around. I think most people liked it.” Most.

The morning started on the Fox Sports Fan Express. In addition to the bloggers, we had some good peeps on that bus, including my buddy Judson Richards from XTRA Sports 1360’s The Drive. He’s on his tippy toes in this photo. Busted.

As for the broadcast, I haven’t actually had a chance to watch it yet, so I’ll have a better idea once I do. But from what I can tell, it was a success. Selfie City before the broadcast.

Was cool to see the official @Padres twitter account tweet this out. (We obviously had no clue they were taking this photo)

It was pretty cool. Our host, Jesse Agler, was fantastic.

There were a lot of people stopping and taking photos and asking us questions.

We were a trending topic on twitter, which was great, so I’ll throw up a few of the tweets so that those of you who aren’t on twitter know what the wonderful world of social media was saying.

Thanks for the kind words. We had a blast. Hopefully Steve from Friarhood, Dex from Gaslamp Ball, and Rick from RJ’s Fro/Padres Public had as much fun as me. The FSSD crew was awesome. Thanks to Henry Ford and Jeff Byle for letting us get on camera, and thanks to Megan, Jacquelyn, Intern Rich, and the rest of the team. You guys were all top notch. Hopefully Fox Sports San Diego lets us do it again sometime. Maybe during the regular season? Riiiiiiiiiight.

Also, I got a ton of compliments on my Storm Friar t-shirt. I’ll be selling them shortly. Will keep you guys posted.
