My ‘Fox Sports San Diego’ Broadcasting Debut…

It’s been a busy couple days for me, traveling back and forth between Arizona and San Diego. The response from you lobsters, along with the response from twitter and facebook, has been overwhelming. Really thankful for all the kind words (mostly) about my broadcasting debut on Fox Sports San Diego. Also, my t-shirt was a big hit. I have yet to actually watch the broadcast, and am looking forward to seeing us (myself and a few of the Padres Public boys) making fools of ourselves up there. We all had a great time.

I’ll be writing more about my experience later. But wanted to get this brief post up to say thank you for all of your kind words. It was great fun, and ourĀ #BloggersTakeOver hashtag was the number one trending topic on Twitter in San Diego… ahead of the new Pope. That’s legit.

I had no clue they’d get this close to our faces. Sorry to subject you to that.

Anyway, until I have to time to do a full write-up on my experience, feel free to head over to Padres Public to read a review from Bryant, one of a dozen PP bloggers, but not one of the four that made the trip to Peoria. He cleverly graded each of us using a star system, only his “stars” were Matty V heads. Funny thing about the post, despite saying that I brought, “an extra bit of swagger to the plate” and “it was clear that his performance was the runaway hit with fans” and “Brady does get points for being the most prepared“… I still ranked 4th out of the 5 of us. He didn’t like my Jeff Cirillo story. Sad face. Only 3.5 Matty V heads. One man’s opinion… no biggie. I felt pretty strong about my showing.

More to come later. Until then, thanks to my blogging brethren, thanks to Megan Olivi, thanks to FSSD, and thanks to those of you that watched. I had a blast.
