Dang. This bums me out. I literally know nothing about Pascual Pérez, who played a Major Leagues for what seemed to be my entire youth… but he was found dead today. At 55 years old, Spanish newspapers are reporting he was murdered during a robbery at his Dominican Republic home. Really sad. My memories of him are strictly tied to baseball cards. Those two up top were my favorites. Best neg-burn, jheri-curl, mullet combination in the history of professional sports.

My memory of him is a shirtless Eddie Whitson. Why? Because Pascual was the pitcher who threw at the entire 1984 Padres team resulting in the greatest baseball brawl of all-time.
Also cocaine comes to mind when I think of him. Lots of cocaine.
Mattingly! I thought I told you to shave those sideburns!
