Joba Got Plunked by a Broken Bat, Reacts Like You Would

What is it about ballplayers and chucking their glove anytime they get hurt out on the field? I know I did it my entire life playing ball…since t-ball. You get spiked trying to tag out a runner at second… you jump and toss your mitt. What’s up with that? It’s not like we’re trained to do it… it’s just instinct. So what is it about getting hurt on the diamond that makes our mind scream, “get this damn glove off my hand!” ?
