I LOVE Vin Scully. When I close my eyes and hear baseball… I hear Vin Scully. Doesn’t matter who your team is… Vin Scully is baseball. With the Dodgers in town, Marty Caswell from XX1090 got a chance to interview him. Have to be a pro to interview Scully… I know I’d be in complete awe the whole time. Couldn’t do it.
My favorite part of the interview is when he speaks of his return to baseball in 2013, and puts everything into perspective. “I do hesitate to talk about it, because I firmly believe to talk about your plans… makes God laugh, you know, so I’m just hoping that He’s in agreement with me, and then I’ll be back next year.” Just perfect. We can have all the plans in the world… but God has His… and we’re just along for the ride.
Nice work calling him “Mr. Scully” too, Marty.
