My High School Repping in the Olympics

That’s Troy Dumais on the right, a high school friend of mine. I’ve been watching he and his brother, Justin, also a high school buddy, dive since I was about 12 years old. They had a chance for gold in the 2004 Greece Olympics and, sadly, botched the final dive. Most folks in my hometown city of Ventura thought the chances of Troy or Justin winning a medal were gone. We were wrong.

In his fourth Olympic games, he finally got his medal. Proud of you, Troy. Never gave up. A good day to be a Buena Bulldog.

Troy reminds me of somebody… can’t quite put a finger on it.
