The Jams of 1992

This will sound weird, but yesterday, I was looking at the “Billboard Year-End Hot 100 singles of 1992.” Blew my mind. I showed Mac too. Mind also blown. Neither of us could actually pick a top 5 list from their top 100. It was just too hard. So many good ones. Here’s an attempt at my top 10 favorite jams from their 1992 list…in no particular order because I just couldn’t bring myself to rank them. Such a sally…

“End of the Road” Boyz II Men

“Under the Bridge” Red Hot Chili Peppers

“To Be with You” Mr. Big

“November Rain” Guns N’ Roses

“Remember the Time” Michael Jackson

“Baby Got Back” Sir Mix-a-Lot

“Tennessee” Arrested Development

“All I Want” Toad the Wet Sprocket

“Black or White” Michael Jackson

“Save the Best for Last” Vanessa Williams

Jams, I tell ya. Least favorite? Anything by Celine Dion. Also, I left Bohemian Rhapsody off my list because it was only a Top 100 hit in 1992 because of Wayne’s World. Otherwise, it’s easily on there. Also of note, there are THREE Color Me Badd songs on that list… and not one of them is “I Wanna Sex You Up“. Just let that simmer for a sec…

Let the name-calling and arguing begin…
