NBC – When his beloved cat Orville was hit and killed by a car recently, Bart Jansen of the Netherlands did what you or I would have done — he had him stuffed, attached propellers to all four paws and made him into a helicopter. The cat, which was named after Orville Wright of the Wright brothers, is currently on display at the Kunstrai art festival in Amsterdam. But not before terrorizing local mice in a series of test flights. His new name? Orvillecopter. “After a period of mourning he received his propellers posthumously,” Jansen said. The Orvillecopter currently struggles to fly steadily, a problem Jansen has promised to fix. “He will receive more powerful engines and larger props for his birthday. So this hopping will soon change into steady flight.”
There it is… the one cat that I have ever liked…. right there. Just amazing. If you find this offensive, I kinda feel bad for you. Because that means you’re a cat person. Sorry ’bout that. Love that they gave it the permanent stare of a surprised Toonces.
