I read two articles today. First one was on NFL.com “Young guns: Top 10 NFL players under the age of 25“. The second one was “Ryan Mathews could be the No. 1 fantasy football back this year“. After the first read, I was baffled that Ryan Mathews was not on the list of top 10 NFL players under 25. There’s no way a guy that’s projected to possibly be a no. 1 fantasy pick isn’t even on the top 10 list. Hell, he’s not even on the “Just missed the cut” list they provided that includes another 10 players. Meaning, that NFL.com article is stating that there are 20 players under 25 years old better than Ryan Mathews. No way. So, I googled, “Ryan Mathews age”, here’s what I got:
Ah… got it, that’s why we wasn’t on the list. He’s already 25. No harm, no foul. Right? So I sent out a tweet with the article, and the man himself clarified the situation.
Well, well, well… apparently google is liar. Ryan himself just confirmed that he’s 24. If you look at my google search, you can see there are two different birthdays listed. May 1, 1987 which would make him 25, and October 10, 1987 which makes him still 24. So, he should be on the list, right? Also not on the list? Our beloved Tim Tebow… this is not a popularity contest, folks. The list excluded incoming rookies, but here it is:

There ya have it. Twenty dudes. No Ryan Mathews. Rubbish if you ask me. Maybe the author was tricked by google too? Is that the only explanation? Also, I don’t know what it means, but I’m totally fine with being Ryan Mathews’ “sonzeenie”
