Demaryius Thomas: You Sir… Are An Idiot

I heard about Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas saying that he’s glad to have Manning and he’s not sad to see Tebow go. My initial reaction was, “Dude…your’re a WR, of course you would prefer Manning… but shut the eff up about it, what good can come from you saying that? Whatever, to each his biggie ” Then, I read what he actually said, via espn,

“in an interview with the 2 Live Stews on 790 The Zone in Atlanta that he prefers playing with a prototypical passing quarterback such as Manning. “It’s a business decision,” Thomas said, via “I ain’t going to say I was sad because the only thing they remember is that pass. You gotta go back and look at the rest of the games. I wasn’t getting no balls and you had to make some of these plays where some players were open and he is not making the throws, but I don’t want to talk bad about Tim. But, hey, I am happy we got Peyton.”

“You would have people calling him out saying, ‘Tim, you gotta make that throw. You gotta read the defenses better,’ ” Thomas said. “Players on offense trying to get him better.”

Thomas also said the considerable coverage Tebow received in the media rubbed some players — including himself — the wrong way.

“Everything on ESPN was all about Tim,” Thomas said. “That bothered some players, too, because they would say, ‘Tim Tebow Time.’ I felt like it was a team thing. If it wasn’t for the defense most of the time, there wouldn’t be no supposed ‘Tim Tebow Time.’ “

Now I’m angry. First of all… you can’t blame Tebow for ESPN covering him all the time. Dude has his own gravitational pull.¬†ESPN did that because the people wanted that… even the haters… so you’re an idiot, Demaryius. Second, without that playoff touchdown pass Tebow threw you… nobody’s ever heard of you, Demaryius. Ever. Outside of Denver and Georgia Tech circles, you’re a nobody… until that pass. Now, you’re a somebody. You should send a thank you note to Tim Tebow today, and every day, for the rest of your life for turning you from a nobody into a somebody. Instead, you’re bashing him to the media. So you’re an idiot, Demaryius. This next one is an all-time best quote of all-time in the forever of all-times… after basically saying Tebow sucks and can’t make a pass, he said “but I don’t want to talk bad about Tim.” Well, guess what, you butthole… ya just did. You’re an idiot. But, hey, I don’t want to talk bad about Demaryius.

What’s funny, though, is that what Thomas said isn’t wrong, it’s that he said it instead of just thinking it. I’d take you up on a six-pack wager that Thomas’ production will go up 50% if Manning plays the full season. Deal?

no way. i believe it will too.

tons of twitter chatter about this post. i don’t disagree with demaryius. i think he’s an idiot for saying it.

      the defense did carry them.

As a man with a dislike of all things Bronco, and all things Tebow, I can say that as a “hater,” I would prefer it if ESPN stopped covering them both all together. Perhaps they could just replace Tebow every time he was throwing a crappy pass with a .gif of Kate Upton throwing an equally crappy pass in a bikini. Deal?

  3. Dou says:

Agreed and agreed. What’s your current line on number of games Manning plays? More or less than the number of sacks for Von Miller?

    • bp says:

i certainly wouldn’t go to vegas with it, but i think he plays the whole season. that’s still 16, right? so i’d guess manning starts > von miller sacks.

Demaryius Thomas is a no talent thug cry baby homo. He sucks.
