Stoked for Landon. Stoked for Beckham too. Showman and I got the opportunity to see the Galaxy in San Diego earlier this year. Was a great time. The season the LA Galaxy had this year was amazing, and they deserved the win. Was pretty fitting that it was put together by it’s three stars: Landon Donovan scored in the 72nd minute on passes from Robbie Keane and David Beckham. A nice storybook ending to Beckham’s 5 year stay in LA. I doubt he’ll stay longer, but it was fun while it lasted.
As for Donovan and Becks…I said it once, and I’ll say it again… for soccer fans watching the Galaxy play, “you’re watching the best soccer player to ever come out of the United States of America play alongside of arguably the most famous soccer player to ever live.”
