AJ Smith, Vincent Jackson, Harry Dunne & Lloyd Christmas

In an interview, when asked about the possibility of signing Vincent Jackson long term, San Diego Chargers GM A.J. Smith responded to the San Diego Union Tribune’s Kevin Acee,

“I do know that Vincent, Mr. Schwartz and Mr. Feinsod (his agents) have said repeatedly that he loves the Chargers and would like to remain here if the compensation is right. If what you say is true, it kind of reminds me of a great line in the movie ‘Dumb & Dumber’ – ‘So you’re telling me I’ve got a chance.’”

Is this fake life? Talk about casting aside all doubts. It’s official, folks… A.J. Smith is a LobShots reader. We had our suspicions, but it was tough to be sure. We’re sure now, everybody is. Next time, could you be a little more subtle, bro? Like, I get it…we’re big time, but to go dropping Dumb & Dumber quotes…yes, the very same movie that graces the banner of this glorious website, to the press while referring to our boy Vincent Jackson, with whom we have a storied past…really? You might as well have screamed, “I love LobShots!” I’m blushing, really I am. But listen here, A.J., next time you plan on blatantly associated yourself with us… get the damn quote right. It’s “So, you’re tellin’ me there’s a chance.” There may not be a more misquoted line in the history of cinema…drives me nuts. Go Bolts.
