Happy Birthday, André the Giant … I wish you were alive.

Happy Birthday, André. I never really knew that much about André the Giant. He was obviously a wrestler and he was my hero in “The Princess Bride”, one of my favorite movies ever. I quote that movie ten times a week, minimum. Pathetic, I know. He was larger than life in every sense of the word…and today would’ve been his 65th birthday. At some point in Jr. High, I stumbled across an old Sports Illustrated with an article about him, and I don’t even remember much about it, but I remember one picture… a picture that I’ve told stories about to this day.

The man is holding a normal sized 12 oz. can of Molson beer. You can see flesh on the top and bottom of the can. I repeat… the man’s hand was bigger than a 12 oz. can. Sure, he was 7′ 4” and about 500lbs. Yes, that’s huge…but I still couldn’t really relate or wrap my head around it. Finally, some perspective on size that a kid could relate to. At the time, I could’ve lined up 4 of my hands next to a can of Coke and not seen my hands showing on to top and bottom of the cans. Just crazy. Anyway, loved the dude ever since then… and loved when his crazy art images became viral all over the damn place. The more André the Giant the better. So, here’s just some images I found online worth giving a look, because they are André the Giant, and they are awesome.

Anybody want a peanut?
