Sasha Vujacic is the next NBA MVP

As a big time Laker fan I loved Sasha Vujacic because I had to.  Not because he complained relentlessy to the officials, or because he flopped every time someone came near him, or because he gently brushed back his bangs from his forehead every other second… but because I had to, as a Laker fan.  He looked like a rat.  It did make it easier to like him since he was somehow able to lockdown Maria Sharapova and throw a ring on her finger.  That still baffles me, and it just proves that God has a sense of humor.

Vujacic also gained online legend status from his series of “Machine” videos posted on www.Lakers-Fan.com by Nick Spears.  Check them out, you may actually start to become a fan of The Machine.

Now that The Machine has moved on and now plays for a Communist in pre-Brooklyn, I find it much easier to hate everything about him…. except Maria, she’s the best.  Recently, he told Colin Stephenson of the Newark Star-Ledger:“I know I can score 20 or 30 points anytime I want,” Vujacic said. “But I’m not that kind of a guy. I want to win. I want to play the right way. Some games I’m going to get 10 shots, some games 15 shots; sometimes, especially coming off the bench, you’re going to feel cold, and you need time to get in the rhythm. But right now, what I care the most is for us to become a better team. And we are really capable of doing that.”

Really Sasha? Really???  You were the Mark Madsen (minus the sick dance moves) of the Lakers.  You’ve never scored 30 points in a game and I’d doubt you’ve done it in lay up lines.  I hate your whining, I hate your hair, and I hate The Machine… but not Maria, she’s still the best.

Also, I’m laughing my face off picturing you talking to your fiancee… “Ooooooohhhh not again Maria Sharapova.”
